HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1978-633W W CITY OF PLYMATtIi Pursuant to ,_.* cq.El and notice thereof, a re ular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota. held on the 2nd day of October , 19 78 The following members were present: Mayor Hunt. o�unciTmembeers Hoyt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth were RRR RRR nynri)mL- Pr Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved _its addoopption: RESOLUTION NO. 78- 633 ADOPTING ASSESSMENT PROJECT NO. 506 T.H. 101/COUNTY ROAD 6 RRR WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the improvement of T.H. 101 between TH. 12 and approximately 1000 feet north of County Road 6 as well as the intersection of County Road 6 and T.H. 101 by the installation of sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer, 9 -ton bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks and traffic signal instnllation with all necessary appurt- enances, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNEOSTA: 1. Such proposed assessment, a cfjpy of whibh is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein add each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessment.�shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of 10 years, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January, 1979 and shall bear interest at the rate of 8% per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To the first in- stallment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date of this Resolution until December 31, 1979. To each subsequent installment when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the County Finance Director, pa;� the whole of the assessment on such property with interest accrued to the date of payment, to the City Finance Director, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this Resolution; and he may, at any time thereafter, pay to the City Finance Director, the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be colleotdd and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes. The total cost to be financed by the City is $1,380,128.07 which is to be obtained as follows: M.S.A. Fund $ 301,232.07 Hennepin County $ 84,213.00 F.A.U. $ 979,683.00 City of Wayzata $ 15,000.00 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Seibold , and upon vote bein taken thereon the following vat in aver thereof- Mayor Hunt, Cound members Hoyt, Neils, SeiboTd and Spaeth The following voted against or a stauieu; riond Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly pass adopted. rt�eR *�e ee*
