HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1978-632W W CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota,wasTield an t—iie 2nd day of October 19 78 The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, Clunci mem ers�Hoyi, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth were AAA RAA introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 78- 632 ADOPTING ASSESSMENT PROJECT NO. 116 PINETREE POND STORM SEWER AAA WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the improvement of certain storm sewer facilities in the major storm drainage district known as Hadley Lake, as per the City of Plymouth's Storm Drainage Plan, dated March 1973, in order to provide a storm water outlet for the following bodies of water as shown in said Storm Drainage Plan: HLP -2 Olive -Merrimac Pond north of County Road 6 HLP -1 Pinetree Pond south of County Road 6 HLP -4 South of 8th Avenue HLF -5 Hadley Lake HLP -8 Hadley Marsh, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of 1G years, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January, 1979 and shall bear interest at the rate of 8% per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To tke first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date of this Resolution until December 31, 1979. To each subsequent installment when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the County Finance Director, pay the whole of the assessment on such property with interest accrued to the date of payment, to the City Finance Director, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this Resolution; and he may, at any time thereafter, pay to the City Finance Director, the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes. S. The total cost of the improveeent assessed by this Resolution is =135,876.97 6. The total cost to be finance by the City is $91,764.03 from the Storm Sewer Reserve Fund.
