R ESOLUTION N O. 2020-312
R ESOLUTION A CCEPTING D ONATIONS
FROM P LYMOUTH R OTARY AND P LYMOUTH L IONS
WHEREAS, the Police Department wishes to organize a “Presents with Public Safety” activity
with underprivileged children; and
WHEREAS, this positive activity will build additional positive community interactions with the
department; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department has been awarded $2,000 from Plymouth Rotary and $1,000
from Plymouth Lions for this purpose; and
WHEREAS, funds will be used for purchasing gift certificates for six families with children
experiencing financial challenges. They will receive a gift certificate for holiday gifts which will be
delivered to them by an officer in a squad car and a firefighter in a fire truck.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that donations of $2,000 from the Plymouth Rotary and $1,000 from the Plymouth Lions is
accepted.
