Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota wasa d� on the
26th day of September , 1978 . The following members were
present:

Council member Sgaeth introduced the following Resolution and
movedits adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 78-618
APPROVING SUNSET HILL TRAFFIC/PEDESTRIAN SAFETY STUDY
WHEREAS, numerous residents in the area of County Road 15 and County_
Road 61 have requested that speed and safety studies be undertaken
on these two roadways and,
WHEREAS, numerous children are required to cross both .County Roads daily
to attend the Sunset Hill Elementary School and,
WHEREAS, the increasing volumes of traffic on these two County Roads suggest
that additional upgrading and/or improvement is required,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that this Council requests the Board of
County Commissioners to undertake a study of County Road 61 from Highway
12 to County Road 15 and County Road 15`between Wedgewood and Pineview
Lanes in Plymouth to determined the need for additional safety improvements. also,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager and City Engineer cooperate
in every possible way with the undertaking and completion of this study.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Cp,and upon vote being taken thereon, the
