Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a reuular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the

introduced the following Resolution and
Moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 78-601
ACCEPTING PROPOSAL OF PERSONNEL DECISIONS, INC. FOR
DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A SELECTION PROCESS
FOR THE POSITION OF POLICE CHIEF
WHEREAS, the retirement of Police Chief Calvin Hawkinson on December 29, 1978
creates a vacancy in an essential public safety position, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended the selection process designed to
insure that the best -qualified applicant for the position is recruited, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has forwarded to the City Council two (2) proposals
from firms dealing in the recruitment of public safety personnel, and
lop WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that the proposal submitted by
Personnel Decisions, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota, dated September 11, 1978,
be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that this Council endorses the Manager's recommendation and accepts the
proposal submitted by Personnel Decisions, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota dated
September 11, 1978 at a cost of $13,140.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVFC that $10,000 be appropriated from Account 101-000-345
and $3,140 from i.ne General Fund Surplus.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
