RESOLUTION NO. 78-599
AUTHORIZATION TO PROCEDE WITH REFORESTATION
WHEF.EAS, the City of Plymouth has received a $10,000 Community Development
Block Grant for reforestation; and
. WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota an A cipates_ reimbursing reforestation costs
up to a rate of 28%; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has budgeted $20,000 in the 1978 Environmental
Services Fund (206-206-810) for reforestation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems reforestation an important function aue to
. the loss of shade trees through shade tree diseases;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that:
1) Council directs staff to implement a reforestation program on the selected
sites as proposed.
2) Staff be authorized to continue with reforestation procedures as may be
® requirad by Housing Urban Development for receipt of Commu,i:ty Development
Block Grant Funds.
3) Staff be authorized to continue wish reforestation procedures as may be
required to obtain State of Minnesota reimbursement for reforestation
expenditures.
The Motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by 1n , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted*
