Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a saecial meeting o`
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the
5th _ day of September_ _ , 1978 . The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils. Seibold and Svaeth
The following members were absent: None
Councilmembers Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 78-573
CALLING HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT
WEED ERADICATION AND DESTRUCTION CHARGES
WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the City Council on September 5, 1978, the
City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment for the destruction
and eradication of noxious weeds on certain lands within the Citv as provided
by law, and
WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been
completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. A hearing shall be held on the 2nd day of October, 1978 in the Council
Chambers of the City Public Works Building, 14900 23rd Avenue North
it 7:30 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and
place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be
given an opportunity to be heard thereon with reference to such assessment.
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearina on the
proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least
two weeks prior to the hearing, and shall state in the notice the total cost
of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to
the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted to fayor thereof: Mayor Hunt. Councilmembers Hovt._P ils-
Seibold and Spaeth
