HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1978-563r CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 5th day of September 1978 . The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, CounciTm-e-m-5—ers Hoyt�leils, Seibold and Spaeth The following members were absent: _ ___ __ _ None Councilmember Spaeth introduces the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 78- 563 DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR WEED ERADICATION AND DESTP"CTION CHARGES WHEREAS, Pursuant to the provisions of Section 18.271 M.S.A., the bleed Inspector of the City of Plymouth has caused the destruction and eradication of noxious weeds on certain lands within said City, and a, determination has been made that certain charges thereto have not been paid as pro%,ided by law, and the total amount of such work amounts to 5,070.00 and the incidental expenses incurred in said work amount to 1 267.50 so that the total amount is $6,337.50 and of this amount the City will pay 0.00 as its share of the cost, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: . 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $6,337.50 . 2. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer and gleed Inspector, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot,'piece or parcel of land within the district affected without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and the Clerk shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection. 3. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thEreof. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: _ Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils,_ Seibold and Spaeth The following voted against or abstained; None , Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly pmed and adopted. ,►ter *** *ff
