HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1978-556• CITY OF PLYMOUTH • Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of .he City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 5th day of September 1978 . The following members were present: _Maygr Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth The following i�er�ir ers were absent: None . Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 78-556 RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT PROJECT 704 - KREATZ HIGHVIEW ACRES 6th WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of: Fountain Lane from 18th Avenue to the cul-de-sac approximately 625 feet north thereof and from Dunkirk'Lane to Fountain Lane at 19th Avenue by the installation of sanitary sewer, watermain, bituminous street restoration and all necessary appurtenances. and the contract price for such improvement is $ 51,22.5.00, and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement amount to $ 19 78900 so that the total cost of the improvement will be 71,014.00 and of this' cost the City will pay $ 41,585.00 as its share or` the cost, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $ 29,429.00 2. It is further determined that the following charges for water and trunk main, pumping and storage facilities for the above referenced project shall be applied to the existing land use zoning. Water Area Residential $300.00 per 1/2 acre lot or $600.00 per acre 3. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece of parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office of the Clerk for public inspection. 4. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the 'following voted to favor thereof; Mayor Hunt, Councilmember Hoyt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth The following vote against -or astd ne one Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted,
