HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1978-554CITY OF PLYMOUTH • Pursuant to ou< call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 5th day of September , 1978 . The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmem ers Hoyt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth The following members were absent: None Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 78- 554 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID PROJECT NO. 804 & 829 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Fernbrook Area utility and street improvements and the Ridgecrest area utility and street improvements (Project Nos. 804 & 829). AND, WHEREAS bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Total Bid C.W. Houle Landscaping Co. $765,916.00 Nodland Assoc., Inc. 768,862.00 Johnson Bros. Corp. 788,852.50 W.&W. Construction 827,531.00 . Mueller Pipeliners, Inc. 837,873.00 6arbarossa & Sons, Inc. 912,964.00 C.S. McCrossan, Inc. 936,032.00 Lametti & Sons, Inc. 1,064,734.00 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that C.W. Houle, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with C.W. Houle, Inc. of St. Paul, Minnesota, in the name of the City of Plymouth, for the construction of the Fernbrook area, in the amount of $765,916.00 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted In favor thereof: _ Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils, Spaeth and Seil,old eo owing - to asst orabstained,-- None Whereupon the kcsolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
