Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the
28th day of August , 1978 . The following members were

Cuuncilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and
movecT its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 78- 534
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID
PROJECT NO. 812 - WELL NO. 5
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of well no. 5
(Project No. 812) to be located on Lot 9, Block 1, Circle Star Business Center
1st Addition,
AND, WHEREAS bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the
following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

E. H. Renner & Sons, Inc. $72,639.00
Bergerson-Caswell, Inc. 73,060.00
Layne Minnesota Co. 88,460.00
Keys Well Drilling Co. 92,583.00
Hydro Engineering, Inc. 100,660.00
AND, WHEREAS, it appears that E. H. Renner & Sons, Inc. is the lowest responsible
bidder,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into
the attached contract with E. H. Renner & Sons, Inc. of Anoka, Minnesota,
in the name of the City of Plymouth, for the construction of well no. 5
(Project No. 812) to be located on Lot 9, Block 1, Circle Star Business
Center 1st Addition, in the amount of $72,639.00.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to
all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits
of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained
until a contract has been signed.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Hoyt , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
followinf.voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Spaeth
and Nei

Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly pa%sed and adopted,
