The following members were present: Mayor Hunt. Councilmembers Hoyt. Neils & Spaeth The following members were absent: Councilmember Seibold Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 78- 528 ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENTS ON VICKSBURG LANE FROM CO. 9 TO CO. 47 PROJECT NO. 801 WHEREAS, resolution No. 78-417 of the City Council, adopted the 10th day of July, 1978, fixed a date for a public hearing on the extension of the improve- ments to Vicksburg Lane from Co. 9 to Co. 47 by the installation of a major thoroughfare road to interim rural section, necessary drainage facilities and all necessary appurtenances, and WHEREAS, ten days published notice of .the hearing through two weekly publications of the required notice was given and the hearing was held thereon the 7th day of August,1978, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH; MINNESOTA: 1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the council resolution adopted July 10, 1978. 2. Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates is hereby designated as engineer for the improvement. He shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. 3. Final design shall take into consideration the intersection of Vicksburg Lane with Co. 9, Co. 47 and the railroad for adequate safety. Considera- tion should be given to turning lanes and possible lowering of Co. 9 to improve site distance. 4. As part of final design a total inventory of trees shall be comple*ed and a report back to the City Council. Consideration shall 1, given during design to saving as many specimen trees as possible. 5. Final design take into consideration from a safety standpoint the grading and turning lanes at the intersection of Vicksburg with County Road 9, County Road 47 and the railroad tracks. 6. Final design include a total inventory of trees and a plan for saving as many as possible. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following Vote in favor thereof. Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils and S aeth The following voted against ora std ne ; None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly pa4sed and adopted, \.
