Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. a Special meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota --was —heeldon the
14th day of August , 19 78. The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt, CouncilMeMbers Hoyte Neils, Seibold and Spaeth
The following members were absent: None
Councilmember Seibold introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption
RESOLUTION NO. 78-512
DIRECTING THE INITIATION OF
A PHYSICAL FITNESS PROGRAM
FOR FULL-TIME CITY EMPLOYEES AND VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS
WHEREAS, a report was received by the City Council on August 14 recomend-
ing the implementation of a Physical Fitness program for all full-time
City employees and volunteer firefighters, and
WHEREAS, the proposed program can benefit City employees, Plymouth residents
and the City as a whole by reducing job related accidents and the costs
associated therewith, and
WHEREAS, the program provides the means by which its success can be measured.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does direct the implementa-
tion of phase I of the Physical Fitness program as outlined in the staff
memorandum dated August 10, 1978.
AND FURTHER that the staff is directed to reimburse City employees who
meet minimum program participation requirements an amount not to exceed
$50 or $6,500 in total phase I program costs.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Ho t , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
0 ow ng voted in favor thereof; Mayor Hunt. Councilmembers Hoyt-
Seibold

Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly pa%sed and adopted,
