HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1978-442•' CITY OF PLYMOUTH • Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a reoular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 17 th day of July_, 19 78 . The following members were . present: Acting Mayor Spaeth, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils and Seibold The following members were absent: Mayor Hunt _ Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and move is adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 78-442 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING, BID 1978 SEAL COATING PROJECT WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1978 Seal Coating Improvements, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the followinn kids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY AMOUNT Allied Blactop Company $ .2990 per sq. yard Blacktop Construction $ .31 per sq. yard AND WHEREAS, it appears that Allied Blacktop Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Allied Blacktop Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota in the name of the City of Plymouth for the improvement of the 1978 Seal Coating improvements, according to the plans and speci- fications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Seibold , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following vo e n favor thereof; Acting Mayor Spaeth, Councilmembers Hoyt Seibold and Neils 0 ow ng vote aga nst or abstained; None , Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted,
