Ccur Seihnld introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 78-429
AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO PREPARE OFFER TO PURCHASE
RAUENHORST PARCEL FOR PUBLIC PARK PURPOSES BASED ON
0. J. JANSKI APPRAISAL DATED 7/5/78
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth contemplates the acquisition of land in the
central area of the City for a park to be known as Central Park; and
WHEREAS, the Rauenhorst Corporation is the owner of a tract of land in this
area which the City desires to acquire for public park purposes; and
WHEREAS, 0. J. Janski and Associates, Inc. has prepared an appraisal dated
July 5, which appraisal indicates the fair market value of the subject land
at $370,000; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously accepted the appraised market value
as prepared by 0. J. Janski and Associates:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the City Manager and the City Attorney be and the
same are hereby authorized and directed to offer the Rauenhorst Corporation
the sum of $370,000 for a tract of land containing 73.82 acres in the south
half of Section 16, as more particularly described on Exhibit "A" attached
hereto.
AND, FURTHER, that they prepare and submit to the Rauenhorst Corporation an
offer to purchase the land ba=ad on said appraised value and otherwise take
all necessary actions leading to the acquistion of this land.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of the 0. J. Janski and Associates
appraisal dated July 5 be provided to the Rauenhorst Corporation.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
and upon vote being taken thereon, the

Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted,

degrees 16 minutes 27 seconds West 1028.44 feet; thence North 48
degrees West 333.50 feet to the northwest corner of said Southeast
Quarter of the Southeast Quarter; thence easterly along the north
line of said Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter to the
point of beginning.
