RESOLUTION #78- 405
APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR AMERICAN LUTHERAN CHURCH FOR LOCATION WITHIN
R-0 ZONING DISTRICT (A-833)
WHEREAS, American Lutheran Church has requested a conditional use permit to allow
a church use within an R-0 (Restricted Residential) zoning district, located
at the southwest corner of Medina Road and Highway 101; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request and recommended approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should, and hereby does, approve the request of the American
Lutheran Church for a conditional use permit to allow a church use within an R-0
(Restricted Residential) zoning district, located at the southwest corner of Medina
Road and Highway 101, subject to site plan submission and approval by the City of
Plymouth.
FURTHER, that the provisions and requirements of Council Policy Resolution #75-664
be waived on the finding that the church should be able to connect to the
school (Greenwood Elementary) for sewer service, with or without a supplemental private
system for back up,to be approved by the Inspection Division, that the construction
of a church at this site would be in com liance with the provision of #3 of Council
Resolution #75-664, i.e. " . .(it would not cause an unreasonable burden upon the
City of Plymouth in providing services and utilities or cause a deleterious impact
upon the natural environment."
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
and upon vote being taken thereon, the
