Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth. Minnesota was a on We
26th daffy of June '19 78 . The fol lowing members were
prysent: Mayor un ouncilmembers Hoyt,eils Seibold and Spaeth
Tt.e following members were absent: None
Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 78-401
PETITIONING ELM CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT
TO REMOVE DEBRIS OR OTHER OBJECTS CAUSING BLOCKAGE
OF STORM DRAINAGE CHANNELWAYS
WHEREAS, blockages exist in the storm drainage channelway in the Elm Creek Watershed
District; and
WHEREAS, such blockages are occurring in the area of County Road 47 west of Dunkirk
Lane; and
WHEREAS, these flow blockages, in conjunction with recent rains, have produced
flooding causing destruction to land within the City's boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the destruction of such lands can be reduced and the operation of the
storm drainage system restored by the elimination of such blockages:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA', that it should and hereby does request the removal of debris or other
objects causing blockages in storm channelways in the general area north of County
Road 47, south of the Plymouth City limits and west of Dunkirk Lane.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Mpyor Hunt and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following vote n favor thereof : Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils.
Seibold and Spaeth
