The following members were present: Mayor Hunt The following members were absent: rnijnrilmPmhPr 4p;hnld Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and move is adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 78-374 DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT PROJECT NO. 605-001 COUNTY ROAD 6 AND FERNDALE ROAD WATERMAIN WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of the City of Plymouth's Water Distribution Trunk System by construction of a 12" water trunk main on County Road 6 from Ranier Lane to the reservoir site; and a 16" water trunk main on Ferndale Road south from the reservoir site to Ferndale Road, together with all necessary restor- ation and all necessary appurtenances, and the contract price for such improvement is $ 205,570.00 , and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement amount to $ 43,658.00 so that the total cost of the improvement will be $ 249,228.00 ; and of this cost the City will pay $ 0.00 as its share of the cost, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $ 249,228.00. 2. It is further determined that the following charges for water trunk main, pumping and storage facilities for the above referenced project shall be applied to the existing land use zoning. Water Area Residential $300.00 per 1/2 acre lot or $600.00 per acre 3. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City's consulting engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improve- ment against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and she shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in her office for public inspection. 4. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Spaeth . and upon vote being taken thereon, the following vote n favor thereof: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt. Neils and Spaeth Ine following vote against -or sta.ne ; one Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly partsed and adopted.
