A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE
COOPERATIVE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE
THREE RIVERS PARK DISTRICT FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF THE PLYMOUTH CREEK WATER QUALITY PONDS
CITY PROJECT NO. 3105
WHEREAS, a Cooperative Joint Powers Agreement has been prepared by the Three
Rivers Park District in reference to the Plymouth Creek Water Quality Ponds Project; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes constriction of two water quality ponds
totaling 8.6 acres in size, to improve the water quality of Plymouth Creek, prior to the creek's
discharge into Medicine Lake; and
WHEREAS, said agreement was approved by the Three Rivers Park District on August
13, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the Three Rivers Park District will reimburse the City for the cost of the
improvements, up to $150,000 per the terms of the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
The Council hereby approves the Cooperative Joint Powers Agreement as presented
and authorizes the Mayor and City Manager to execute the agreement on behalf of the
City.
