HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2009-208CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION N0. 2009-208 A RESOLUTION APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR REZONING OF CERTAIN LAND CONSISTENT WITH THE GUIDE PLAN CLASSIFICATION IN THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (2009016) WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has initiated a reclassification of the zoning for several parcels located throughout the City to achieve consistency between the land use guide plan and the zoning ordinance map, and WHEREAS, the reclassifications and legal descriptions for the affected parcels are as follows: A. Reclassification from FRD (Future Restricted Development) to P -I (Public/Institutional) for the following described properties: The South 415.6 feet of the West Half of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 17, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota, excluding road. ►I9 Outlot A, Plymouth Presbyterian Church Addition. B. Reclassification from O (Office) to P -I (Public/Institutional) for the following described property: Outlot C, Sugar Hills -1 Addition. C. Reclassification from I-1 (Light Industrial) to C-2 (Neighborhood Commercial) for the following described properties: All land lying within Lot 3, Block 1, Playhouse Industrial Park Addition. Lot 2, Block 1, Playhouse Industrial Park Addition. D. Reclassification from RSF-4 (Single and Two Family) to RSF-1 (Single Family Detached 1) for the following described property: Lot 1, Block 1, Sunrise Bay Estates Addition. Reclassification from RSF-1 (Single Family Detached 1) to P -I (Public/Institutional) for the following described properties: That part of the North 35 rods of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter lying South of Pinecrest 2" a Addition and West of Winnen Addition, Section 31, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota. ►I9 That part of Lot 6, Block 1, Winnen Addition lying South of the North 255 feet. The West 988.4 feet of the South 45 rods of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, except the East 470 feet of the North 590 feet thereof of Section 31, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota. TO -91 The East 470 feet of the West 988.4 feet of the North 590 feet of the South 45 rods of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 31, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Hearing and recommends approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance rezoning the affected parcels as described above. 2 Resolution 2009-208 (2009016) Page 3 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the reclassification of the zoning for the affected parcels, based on the finding that the rezonings are consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan.
