ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 905 OF THE CITY CODE
CONCERNING FIRE PREVENTION CODE
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESQTA ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Section 905 of the Plymouth City Code is hereby amended as follows:
905.01 State Fire Code
Subd. 2. Amendments Made in the Minnesota State Fire Code. The following sections of the Minnesota State
Fire Code are amended as follows:
C. In addition to the appe,ndices to the International Fire Code adopted in the Minnesota State Fire Code, the
following appendices of the International Fire Code are adopted as part of the fire code for the City:

3. Appendix �P (Emergency Responder Radio Coverage)
905.15 Fires or r^^L0^^ ^^.,�^^cgarbecues on Balconies or �sPatios at Locations Designated in Appendix �0
of the Minnesota State Fire Code.
Subd. 2. Electrical Cooking Devices. Electrical cooking devices are only allowed under the exemption listed in
Appendix �O of the Minnesota State Fire Code.
Subd. 3. Definitions. For the purpose of this Subsection, the following terms shall have these meanings:
q. "�^^��^^ a�„�^�garbecues" means any ��iec�ecookin� device, rotisserie, roaster, smoker, oven or
similar equipment used in food preparation.
B. "Open flame �e" means any burning of fuel, and includes any torch, flare, decorative light, candle,
fondue or other heating, burning, or lighting equipment or device having an open flame.
SECTION 2. This amendment shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
