Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of

the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on t
. 17th day of April , 1978 . The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth
The following members were absent: None
Councilmember Seibold introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO, 78-229
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC PARK PURPOSES
WHEREAS, in a report dated March 14, 1978 the -City Manager has recommended the
purchase of a parcel of property commonly referred to as 3055 East Medicine Lake
Drive, legally described as:
Lot 28, Auditor's Subdivision 333, Hennepin County, Minnesota
and
WHEREAS, the purchase of such property will provide park access and/or trail
access for future public recreational facilities, and
WHEREAS, the owner of said parcel has indicated his desire to relinquish said
property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does authorize the purchase of the property
referred to as Lot 28, Auditor's Subdivision 333, Hennepin County, Minnesota in
the amount of $8,300 cash together with associated costs for a title transfer.
AND FURTHER that Mr. William Dietz II, present owner, shall be responsible for
delinquent and current taxes against said parcel in the amount of $622.88.
AND FURTHER that the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement
for the purchase of this property and that funds for this purchase are authorized
from the Park Dedication Fund, Trails Account,
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Spaeth , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in rayor thereof: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils,
Seibold and Spaeth
The following voted against or abstained; None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly pa%sed and adopted,
