Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a �regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was heldon tT�e 20th day of

Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved

RESOLUTION NO. 78-137
FINAL PLAN APPROVAL
FOR BRIDGE MAINTENANCE PROJECT
S.P. 2723 -6721 -TRUNK HIGHWAY 55
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Transportation for the State of Minnesota has caused
to be prepared: plans, special provisions, and specifications for the improvement
of Trunk Highway No. 188, renumbered as Trunk Highway 55, within the corporate
limits of the City of Plymouth, on T.H. 55 1.4 miles Southeast of T.H. 494 and
T.H. 55% in Plymouth, and
WHEREAS, said plans are on file in the office of the Department of Transportation,
St. Paul, Minnesota; being marked, labeled and identified as: S.P. 2723-6721
(55=188); and which, together with the "Minnesota Department of Highways Standard
Specifications for Highway Construction," dated January 1, 1972, as amended by
Minnesota Department of Highways Supplemental Specifications for Highway
Construction, dated April 1, 1976, will govern, and which are on file in the
office of the Commissioner of Transportation, constitute the specifications for
said improvement of Trunk Highway No. 188, renumbered as Trunk Highway No. 55;
and,
WHEREAS, copies of said plans and special provisions as so marked, labeled and
identified are also on file in the office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the term, "spid plans and special provisions," as hereinafter used in
the body of this Resolution will be deemed and intended to mean, refer to, and
incorporate the plans and special provisions in the foregoing recitals particularly
identified and described; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Transportation desires in the interest of public
safety that any and all parking of vehicles, if such parking is permitted within
the corporate limits of the City of Plymouth, on said Trunk Highway No. 188,
renumbered as Trunk Highway No. 55, will be parallel with the curb adjacent to
the highway and will be at least 20 feet from any crosswalk.
NOW, THEN, BE IT RESOLVED that said plans and special provisions for the improve-
ment of Trunk Highway No. 188, renumbered as Trunk Highway No. 55, within the
corporate limits of the City of Plymouth, be and hereby are approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Plymouth does hereby agree to require
the parking of all vehicles, if such parking is permitted within the corporate
limits of said City, on said Trunk Highway No. 188, renumbered Trunk Highway
No. 55, will be parallel with the curb adjacent to the highway, and at least
20 feet from any crosswalks on all public streets intersecting said trunk
highway.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the elevations and grades as shown in said plans
and special provisions are hereby approved and consent is hereby given to any
and all changes in grade occasioned by the construction of Trunk Highway No. 188,
renumbered Trunk Highway No. 55, in accordance with said plans and special
provisions.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
