Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the
6th day of February , 1978 . The following members were

The following members were absent: Mayor Hunt
Councilmember Seibold introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 78-78
SUPPORTING THE WEST HENNEPIN HUMAN SERVICES PLANNING BOARD
AND EXISTING COUNTY/MUNICIPAL FUNDING GUIDELINES
WHEREAS, the West Hennepin Human Services Planning Board provides services
benefitting Plymouth residents including human service needs assessment,
program planning, community education and related services, and
WHEREAS, the quality of human services available to Plymouth are enhanced
.through the activities of the West Hennepin Human Services Planning Board, and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County is responsible for insuring human services availability
under State Statute, and
WHEREAS, the existence of the West Hennepin Human Services Planning Board
—primarily benefits the County in human services planning;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does recommend that strong autonomous
planning boards be maintained.
BI IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the most appropriate funding source for the West
.Hennepin Human Services Planning Board is Hennepin County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the present annual funding guidelines of 90%
County and 10% municipal contribution are most appropriate and should be
continued.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the amount of contribution from Plymouth shall
not exceed $765.00 and shall be appropriated from the Contingency Fund.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Ho t , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
0 ow ng voted n favor thereof; Actina Mayor Spaeth. Councilmembers Hoyt,
Neils and Seibold
