Coun it r Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION No. 78-27
APPROVE THAT A PROFESSIONAL FIRM BE CONTRACTED TO SUBMIT CONCEPT DESIGNS FOR
THREE COMMUNITY PLAYFIELDS
WHEREAS, the 1978-82 Parks CIP proposes development of three community playfields,
one at Oakwood School, one at LaCompte Green Park, and one at either Zachary Lane
or Plymouth Junior High School,and
WHEREAS, it is believed consistent with sound capital improvements development
that concept designs be prepared, and
WHEREAS, the 1978-82 Parks CIP reflects $10,000 budgeted for community playfields
design;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that concept designs be prepared by a professional firm of the City
Manager's choice with funds from the 1978 Parks CIP designated for design with
the provision that the area of priority need should not be shifted because grant
is denied.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voiRrM Favor ereof: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Herts Neils.
