Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regula meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was e d on the
19th day of December 1977 . The following members were
present:

Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 77-755
AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO PROCEED WITH PREPARATION OF A SURVEY
DELINEATING LAND TO BE ACQUIRED AND PREPARING CONTRACT FOR ACQUISITION
OF COMMUNITY PARK SITE AT OAKWOOD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
WHEREAS, the City Manager,in his report dated December 16, 1977, has reported
that Independent School District No. 284 has indicated a willingness to sell
approximately 19 acres of land at the Oakwood Elementary School site, at
$1,400 per acre, for the purpose of a community playfield, and
WHEREAS, the City's 5 -Year Capital Improvement Program contemplates a community
playfield in southwest Plymouth, and
WHEREAS, the City's Park and Recreation Advisory Commission has recommended
proceeding with said acquisition;
' . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the City Manager be directed to proceed with the preparation
of a survey delineating the land to be acquired, which survey shall be approved
by the officials of School District No. 284 and this Council.
AND FURTHER, that the City Attorney be directed to prepare the necessary legal
instruments for the consideration by this Council and the School District by
the terms of which the City will purchase the park site at an estimated cost
of $26,600.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilman Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
