Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the
19th day of December , 19 77. The following members were
present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Neils and Seibold
The following members were absent: ouncilman Spaeth
Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 77- 754
AWARDING BID FOR 1978-1980 DENTAL INSURANCE
WHEREAS, the 1978 adopted budget and labor agreements between the City and
employees in the public works maintenance and police officer classifications
provides for the implementation of a dental insurance program on January 1,
1978; and
WHEREAS, specifications were prepared and bids received on November 29, 1977
from the following firms for Plan A and Plan B in the amounts noted:
Company Plan A Plan B
Delta $26.90 $21.60
Employers $20.07 $17.48
Equitable No Bid $21.60
Travelers $22.75 $17.50
and
WHEREAS, after thorough analysis and evaluation, the City Manager in his report
dated December 16 has recommended acceptance of the Plan B bid of Employers
Insurance of Wausau as lowest responsible bidder:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does award the bid for 1978-1980 dental
insurance coverage Plan B to Employers Insurance of Wausau in the low bid
amount of $17.48 per month for 1978.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilman Seibold , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
followIng vote ,n favor t ereo , Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Neils
and Seibold ,
