R ESOLUTION N O. 2020-282
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P URCHASE OF C IVIL U NREST
E QUIPMENT U SING THE DEA R ESOURCE F UND
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Police Department is expected to be called to respond
to the increasing frequency of civil unrest incidents; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Police Department needs to provide its officers with the
proper equipment to safely respond to incidents of civil unrest; and
WHEREAS, the DEA Resource Fund has forfeiture proceeds that could be used
for this purchase.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the purchase of civil unrest equipment iis approved
from the DEA Resource Fund is approved.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 13th day of October, 2020.
