HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1977-740• • CITY OF PLYMOUIIi Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, arrec_uulla_r meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota , tin nesota, was held on the 19th day of December , 1977 - The following members were present: were AAA RRR Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 77-740 ADOPTING ASSESSMENT WILLOW GROVE ADDITION (A-323) FORMER PLAT PROJVECT PARCEEL07024 AAA WHEREAS, in accordance with the Development Contract for the Willow Grove Addition (A-323), we have received a waiver of assessment hearing from the property owner of,Plat 43736 - Parcel 7024 waiving his right to special assessment hearings covering the installation of sanitary sewer area and laterals and watermain area, and all other appurtenances, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of 5 years, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January, 1979 and shall bear interest at the rate of 8% per annum from the date of adoption of this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on t' entire assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31,1979. To each subsequent install- ment, when due, shall be added interest on one year on all unpaid instal' ments. 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the County Finance Director, pay the whole of the assess- ment on such property with interest accrued to the date of payment to the City Treasurer, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this resolution; and he may, at any time thereafter pay to the City Finance Director the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes. *Former Resolution 1 77- 740 Page 2 5. The total cost of the improvement assessed by this resolution is $24,874.83. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by ncilman Seibold , and upon vote being taken thereon, the . following voted in ravor thereof, Mayor Hilde. Councilmen Hunt. Neils and Seibold efollowing voted against or one Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly pass pt .
