Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and
moved Its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 77-693
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PLYMOUTH HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION TO ENTER INTO A
MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RIGHTS
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Human Rights has proposed that the Plymouth
Human Rights Commission enter into a memorandum of agreement for the purpose of
implementing a State approved process of local Commission complaint resolution,
and
WrIEREAS, the memorandum of understanding establishes specific instructions for
local Commissions in the establishment of the local complaint resolution process,
and
WHEREAS, the public is best served where there is ready access to seek orderly
resolution of such problems;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that is should and hereby does authorize the Plymouth Human Rights
Commission to enter into a memorandum of agreement with the Minnesota Department
of Human Rights, and that such agreement shall be effective from January 1, 1978
through December 31, 1978.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
and upon vote being taken thereon, the
