HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1977-690EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL OF CITY OF PLYMOUTH November 21, 1977 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth was held at the Council chambers, 14900 23rd Avenue North, on the 21st day of November, 1977, commencing at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Spaeth, Hunt, Neils and Seibold. The following members were absent: None. Councilman Spaeth introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: "RESOLUTION NO. 77-690 A RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH TO BE SURPLUS PROPERTY AND DIRECTING ITS CONVEYANCE TO UNION CITY MISSION, INC. WHEREAS, on the day of February, 1971, Union City Mission, Inc., a Minnesota corporation, did convey to the City of Plymouth the following described property situated in Hennepin County, Minnesota, to -wit: The South 600 feet of the North 1200 feet of the West 300 feet of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 14, Township 118, Range 22, and WHEREAS, said conveyance was made as a contribution by said Union City Mission, Inc. to the City of Plymouth for the express purpose of providing a site for the City on which to build its Fire Station No. 2, and WHEREAS, in the intervening years further study and consideration by the City Council resulted in a decision to build Fire Station No. 2 on a different site, and WHEREAS, the above-described property is no longer necessary to the City of Plymouth for the purpose originally intended or any other purpose, and Resolution No. 77-690 WHEREAS, a request has been made by Union City Mission, Inc. that said property be reconveyed to it by the City, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH AS FOLLOWS: 1. It is hereby determined that the following described property situated in Hennepin County, Minnesota and owned by the City of Plymouth is declared to be surplus property and not needed by the City of Plymouth, to -wit: The South 600 feet of the North 1200 feet of the West 300 feet of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 14, Township 118, Range 22. 2. That said property was originally received by the City of Plymouth as a contribution by Union City Mission, Inc. for the purpose of locating a fire station thereon and that such use is no longer appropriate to this tract. 3. That the Mayor and City Manager be authorized and directed to execute a warranty deed from the City of Plymouth to Union City Mission, Inc. reconveying the above-described property to said Union City Mission, Inc." The above motion was seconded by Acting Mayor Hunt and upon vote being taken thereon +-:ie following voted in favor thereof: Councilmen Spaeth, Hunt, Neils and Seibold. The following voted against: None. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. STATE OF MINNESOTA) COUNTY OF HENNEPIN) SS. CITY OF PLYMOUTH ) I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting City Clerk of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby certify that I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of minutes of a regular meeting of the City Council of said city held on November 21, 1977, with the original thereof on file in my office and the same is a full, true and complete transcript therefrom insofar as the same relates to declaring certain property in the City of Plymouth to be surplus property and directing its conveyance to Union City Mission, Inc.
