HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1977-665CITY OF PLYMOUTH • Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a reaular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 21st day of November , 192Z. The following members were present: The following meirmebers were absent: Mayor Hiide Councilman Seibold introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION #.77- 665 AUTHORIZING STREET VACATION FOR LANCASTER LANE BETWEEN 8TH AND 10TH AVENUES NORTH (A-7%5) WHEREAS, a petition to vacate Lancaster Lane from 8th Avenue North to 10th Avenue North has been received by the City Council from the property owners adjacent to Lancaster Lane between 8th Avenue North and 10th Avenue North; and, WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was held on November 21, 1977, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, 412.85., as amended; and, WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two weeks prior to the meeting of November 21, 1977; and, WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on November 21st, 1977 to inform any and all interested parties relevant to the vacation of Lancaster Lane between 8th Avenue North and 10th Avenue North; and, WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that Lancaster Lane between 8th Avenue North and 10th Avenue North is not needed for a public street; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. That part of Lancaster Lane lying between 8th Avenue North and 10th Avenue North all in Section 36, Township 118, Range 22, be vacated as public roadway. 2. That said vacation shall not affect the authority of any person, corporation or municipality owning or controlling electric or telephone poles and lines, gas and sewer lines, or water pipes, mains and hydrants thereon or thereunder, to continue maintaining the same or to enter upon such way or portion thereof vacated to repair, replace, remove or otherwise attend thereto.
