HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1977-655# • CITY OF PLYMOUTH • #' Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a, regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, NffiReisota was heTa on the 7th day of November , 19 The following members were present: Mayor i e, Councilmen Hunte Neils, Seibold and Spaeth The following members were sent: None RRR RRR RRR Oouncioman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved itsadoption: RESOLUTION NO. 77-655 ESTABLISHING A LOCAL BOARD OF HEALTH FOR THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH WHEREAS, the Plymouth City Council as chief legislative body for the City of Plymouth is responsible for the health and welfare of Plymouth residents; and WHEREAS, it is desirable and beneficial for the City and its residents to possess a board responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring community health services and nursing services within the City; and WHEREAS, the Community Health Services Act of 1976, Minnesota Statutes, Section 145.913, authorizes the City Council to appoint itself as the local board of health: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does establish itself as the Board of Health for the City of Plymouth with all powers and responsibilities associated therewith. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Seibold , and upon vote being taken thereon, the fol owing voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, _Councilmen Hunt, Neils, me to].lowmW voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly pass -a-M adopti *kk *** kkk
