Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved
its tion:
RESOLUTION NO. 77-573
APPROVING AND CONSENTING TO A TAX LEVY FOR THE PURPOSE
OF DEFRAYING THE COST OF OPERATION OF THE HOUSING AND
REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH FOR
THE YEAR 1978
WHEREAS, the City Counc;l of the City of Plymouth is the governing body of
the City of Plymouth, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received two resolutions from the Housing and
Redevelopment Authority of the City of Plymouth (the "Authority"), one
entitled "A Resolution Levying Taxes for the Housing and Redevelopment
Authority of the City of Plymouth for the Year 1978" and the other entitled
"Resolution Approving the 1978 Budget of the Housing and Redevelopment
Authority of the City of Plymouth", and
WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to the proposed budget was held on
September 19, 1977, at which time the public had the opportunity to comment
upon the proposed budget, and
WHEREAS, the City Council, pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes,
Section 462.545, Subdivision 6, must by resolution consent to the proposed
tax levy of the Authority;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that it consents to the special tax levied by the Authority
upon all real and personal property within the City of Plymouth in the amount
of $13,505,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the said tax levy be certified to the County
Finance Director of Hennepin County on or before October 10, 1977.
