The following members were present: Mayor H11de, council Hun , Neils and Spaeth The following members were sent: Councilman Seibold rrr ,ear rrr Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved isadoption: RESOLUTION NO. 77-486 AWARDING BID FOR ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION CITY HALL (PROJECT 615) WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the electrical construction of the City Hall, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, -and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Bidder Base Bid Mt. 1 Weaver Electric Company, Inc. 153,810 - 500 Electric Repair b Construction 158,800 -1,600 Edina Electric Company 161,684 No Change Langford Electric Corporation 164,000 - 630 Killmer Electric Co., Inc. 166,789 -11000 Davidson Electric Company 173,640 -1,600 Lee Electric Company 177,900 - 800 Sterling Electric Company 178,500 - 362 Drews Electric.Inc. 188,000 - 550 and; WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended rejecting Alternate No. 1; and WHEREAS, it appears that Weaver Electric Company, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. That the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contract with Weaver Electric Company, Inc. for the improvements outlined heretofore according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of $153,810. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the fol owing voted in awn the Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Neils ine wi-Lowing vorea against or anstainea: Nong Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly—passed anti adopted. aaa aar rrr
