HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1977-44310 CITY OF PLYhDM Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, as ec.1 meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was on t 22nd day -if August , 1977 . 7be following members were present: Mayor_Hilde, CounCTmen Hunt, Seibold and SDaeth were ARA RAA Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved is tion: RESOLUTION NO. 77- 443 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS DOWNTOWN PLYMOUTH PROJECT NO. 611 - UTILITIES AAR WHEREAS, Pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on June 6;, 1977, the City consulting engineer, Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik b Associates. Inc. has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of the following improvements in the Downtown Plymouth area generally locator!d north of T.H. 55 and east of Vicksburg Lane: SANITARY SEWER Phase I - The construction of the N.W. Interceptor from its present terminal at point 37 at the intersection of Fernbrook Lane and 35th Avenue west and south to the interim lift station at 32nd and Niagara Lane; lateral sewer on 34th Avenue from the N.W. Interceptor west to Niagara Lane. Phase II - Lateral sewer on Niagara Lane from 34th Avenue to 36th Avenue; and on 36th Avenue from Niagara Lane to Vicksburg Lane. WATERMAIN Phase I - 18" watermain trunk on Niagara Lane from the south side of T.H. 55 to 34th Avenue; lateral on 34th Avenue from Niagara Lane east approximately 300 feet. Phase II - 18" watermain trunk on Niagara Lane from 34th Avenue to 36th Avenue; lateral watermain on 36th Avenue from Niagara Lane to Vicksburg Lane; 12" trunk watermain on Vicksburg Lane from the south side of T.H. 55 to 36th Avenue. STORM SEWER Minimum amount required to facilitate positive drainage in Phase I and Phase II. Resolution No. 77-443 Page 2 MISCELLANEOUS Pedestrian underpass at Niagara Lane north of T.H. 55. and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval; and WHEREAS, the plans are prepared so that Phase I and Phase II will be separated in the specifications proposal for purposes of awarding Phase I without Phase II. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertiFement shall be published for three days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the Clerk until 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 16, 1977, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the City, 14900 23rd Avenue North, by the City Manager and City Eng;neer and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the Clerk for five percent (5%) of the amount of such b±_1. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by and upon vote being taken thereon, the following vote in favor thereof:Mayor Hilde Councilmen Hunt Seibold and Spaeth The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly—passed and adopted. wt,► ,ryr,r ***
