Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a, regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, M e�sota was held on the
15th day of Au ust , 19 77. The following members were
present: mayor Hilae. Councilmen HunY—.Neils, Seibold and Spleth

Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved
its a ption:
RESOLUTION NO. 77-425
ADOPTING A POLICY FUR MAINTENANCE, PRESERVATION, REPRODUCTION AND
DISPOSAL OF PUBLIC RECORDS AND DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Chapter 138 governs the maintenance, preservation,
reproduction and disposal of public records and documents made or received by
officers of municipal government in connection with the transaction of public
business; and
WHEREAS, the public is best served through efficient and predictable maintenance,
pt -,?servation, reproduction and disposal of public records and documents; and
WHEREAS, the City staff submitted a policy statement dated August 15, 1977 to
promote efficient and predictable maintenance, preservation, reproduction and
disposal of public records and documents.
NOW,'THLREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymoutr!,
Minnesota, that it should and hereby does adopt the policy relating to the
maintenance, preservation, reproduction and disposal of public records and
documents dated August 15, 1977.
FURTHEI:, that pursuant to said policy the Council hereby officially authorizes
and supports any and all disposal schedules and/or applications for the destruc-
tion of public records or documents submitted by or on behalf of the City Manager
of the City of Plymouth.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by Councilman Neils and upon vote being taken thereon, the
fol owing vo in avor ereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Neils,
Seibold and Spaeth
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed adopted.
