Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a_��req�ular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth,umMesotawase 'oa the
20th clay of June 19 77. The following members were
present: Mayor Hilde._Councilmen Hunt Neils Seihnld and cpaPth
The following members were sent: _None
Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 77-318
SUPPORTING APPOINTMENT OF
LORING M. STAPLES FOR MTC COMMISSIONER
WHEREAS, action of the 1977 Legislature resulted in changes in termination
dates for the terms of four Metropolitan Transit Commission commissioners,
and
WHEREAS, one of these commissioner positions is that which represents Plymouth
and other southern and western suburban municipalities, and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Loring M. Staples has served for 11 years in this
. position and during that time effectively represented the interests of the
City of Plymouth, and
WHEREAS, the commissioner position currently filled by Loring M. Staples
wfll now terminate July 1, 1977 instead of the original termination date
of January 1, 1979;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the City Council hereby goes on record supporting the
reappointment of Commissioner Loring M. Staples to this commission position.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be transmitted to all
members of the Metropolitan Council.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by Councilman Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
1bfol owing voted in favorthereof: Mayor Hilde. Councilmen Hunt. Neils. .
Seibold and Spaeth

CITY OF PLYMOUTH REGULAR COUNCIL 14EETING
MONDAY, JUNE 27, 1977
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special
meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Hennepin
County, Minnesota, was duly held at the Council Chambers in the
City of Plymouth, Minnesota, on Monday, the 27th day of June,
1977, at 7:30 o'clock P.M.
The following members were present: Mayor Hilde,
Councilmen Hunt, Seibold and Spaeth
and the following were absent: Councilman Neils
