HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1977-2770 • CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on t e 6th day of June , 19 77 . The following members were present: Mavor Hilde. Councilmen Neils. Seibold and Spaeth ng members were abse Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved Its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 77-277 RESOLUTION AP!%ROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, COMBINED PROJECT 612 LARCH LANE AND PROJECT 706 49TH AVENUE FOR PURPOSES OF BIDDING AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENTS FOR BIDS. WHEREAS, pursuant to the following Resolution passed by the Council: 1. Project No. 612 Larch Lane - Resolution No. 76-146A, adopted on March 8, 1976, and 2. Project No. 706 49th Avenue - Resolution No. 77-172, adopted on April 12, 1977, and Resolution No. 77-217, adopted on May 2, 1977, the consulting engineer, Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates has prepared plans and specifications for the following improvements: 1. Project No. 612 - Larch Lane from County Road No. 9 to the Soo Line Railroad Tracks by the construction of a 7 -tan design interim section with all necessary appurtenances, 2. Project No. 706 - 49th Avenue North east from Larch Lane by the construction of a 9 -ton bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, sanitary sewer, watermain and storm sewer and all necessary appurtenances, and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved as follows: a. Project No. 612 - 7 -ton bituminous street section with concrete curb and gutter on the east side of Larch Lane adjacent to the Palmer Creek Estates 1st Add*.;ion and all necessary appurtenances, b. Project No. 706 - 52 foot wide, 7 -ton (gravel equivalency 15.5) bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter and is to be so constructed so that additional bituminous material may be placed to bring up to a 9 -ton street (gravel equivalency 24.75) together . Res. No. 77-277 • • with the necessary storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and watermain facilities and all necessary appurtenances. The City Clerk shall prepare and LOUSe Lu be inserted in the official paper and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on Friday , July 8, 1977, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the City at 13900 23rd Avenue North by the City Manager and City Engineer and will be considered by the Council at 7:30 p.m. on July 25, 1977 in the Council Chambers, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the Clerk for five percent (5%) of the amount of such bie. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:- Mayor Hilde. Councilmen Neils, Seibold and Spaeth The following voted against or abstained: None Vhereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
