Plymouth residents have multiple early voting options starting Sept. 18
Plymouth, Minn. – Early voting (absentee) is set to begin Friday, Sept. 18 for the Nov. 3 General Election
–and the City of Plymouth offers residents a variety of safe, secure and simple options for casting a
ballot.
To minimize direct contact with others during the COVID-19 pandemic, all Minnesota voters are
encouraged to request an absentee ballot for the 2020 General Election. To request an absentee ballot,
visit mnvotes.org and select “Other Ways to Vote.”
Plymouth residents have indoor and outdoor options for completing absentee ballots – by mail, drop-
and-go, curbside or in-person at Plymouth City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Blvd.
Ballot Drop-And-Go, COVID-19 Accommodations
City election staff is keeping health at the forefront of the 2020 general election process. In addition to
sending through the U.S. Postal Service, Plymouth offers new options for early voting (absentee). The
following options are available 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at Plymouth City Hall.
•Drop-and-Go: Plymouth residents can apply to receive an absentee ballot by mail and drop off
the completed ballot at Plymouth City Hall
•Outside Under a Large Tent: Complete the absentee ballot process and vote in-person outside
in the fresh air under a large tent in the Plymouth City Hall parking lot Sept. 21 to Oct. 23
•Curbside Service: Complete the absentee ballot process and vote from the comfort of a vehicle
at Plymouth City Hall
For an absentee ballot to count, elections staff must physically have it in hand by 3 p.m. on Election Day,
Nov. 3, or it must be postmarked on or before Election Day.
Voters may track the status of their ballot and confirm that it was received and counted, as well as view
a list of candidates on the ballot, districts in their precinct and more at mnvotes.org.
Early Voting In-Person
The entire absentee balloting process can be completed in-person at Plymouth City Hall from 8 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, beginning Sept. 18.

Another option is to vote in-person by direct ballot Oct. 27 to Nov. 2. Voters feed their ballots through a
tabulator just like on Election Day. Direct balloting is available 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through
Friday at Plymouth City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Blvd. Extended hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct.
31 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2.
Voters are required to wear masks when voting in-person inside.

Free public CPR training set to resume Sept. 26
Plymouth, Minn. – Heart Safe Plymouth will resume offering free CPR/AED training to the public under
COVID-19 guidelines. Training sessions are held on the second floor of the Plymouth Public Safety
Building, 3400 Plymouth Blvd., adjacent to City Hall.
Upcoming trainings include:
•9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26
•7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14
•9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17
•7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18
•9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21
The one-hour training sessions are open to teenagers and adults who are interested in learning to help
save lives. Participants learn hands-only CPR – chest compressions without mouth-to-mouth breaths –
and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
The course is free, but registration is required. To register, visit heartsafeplymouth.eventbrite.com.
COVID-19 Guidelines
Per Minnesota Department of Health guidelines, class sizes are limited to 12 participants and face
coverings are required. Participants are encouraged to practice social distancing (stay 6 feet apart).
Hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes and soap are available to participants at each training session.
In addition, Heart Safe Plymouth asks participants to screen themselves for symptoms. Registrants with
a fever, chills or shortness of breath and a new cough, new sore throat, new muscle aches, new
headaches, or new loss of smell or taste are asked to cancel their registration and stay home.
Heart Safe Plymouth Background
Heart Safe Plymouth training courses are available through a partnership between the Plymouth Public
Safety Department and Rotary Club of Plymouth. More than 6,340 participants have been trained.
Plymouth was designated a Heart Safe Community in 2013 by the American Heart Association. The
program recognizes efforts to improve systems for preventing deaths caused by sudden cardiac arrest.
