CITY OF PLYMOUTH
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was e d on t e 28th day of
March. 1971 The following members were present:
Actino Mavor Hunt, Councilmen Neils and Spaeth
The following members were a sent. Mayor Hilde and Councilman Seibold
A�cting_Mayor Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved
tsi adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 77-165
AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT IN FULL OF THE BALANCE
OWING ON THE CONTRACT FOR DEED WITH PLYMOUTH
HILLq COMPANY, A PARTNERSHIP
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth did on the 15th day of April, 1976 enter into
a contract for deed with Plymouth Pills Company, a partnership, for the
purchase of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4, Section 21, Township 118,
Ran9e 22, except the Easterly 10 acres thereof, Hennepin County, Minnesota,
and
WHEREAS, there remains to be paid on said contract for deed the sum of
$258,610.00 with interest thereon computed to April 15, 1977 of $18,102.70
for a total sum due of $276,712.70, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has advised that the funds are available to enable
the City to pay the said contract in full on April 15, 1977 and receive a
warranty deed to said premises, and
WHEREAS. by reason of planning that has been done with respect to the above-
described property including the sale of a portion thereof to the United
States Postal Service and the imminent construction of a City Hall in the
area immediately adjacent to said property it is deemed to be desirable to
obtain fee title to the premises;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The City Manager and City Attorney are hereby authorized and directed
to take the necessary steps to obtain fee title to the following described
property situated in Hennepin County, Minnesota, to -wit:
The Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4, Section 21, Township 118,
Range 22, except the Easterly 10 acres thereof, Hennepin County,
Minnesota
find to pay to Plymouth Hills Company, a partnership, the balance due
together with interest under that certain cL,itract for deed between
said Plymouth Hills Company, a partnership, and the City of Plymouth
under date of April 15, 1976.

2. The Mayor and City Manager are further authorized and directed to execute
any instruments on behalf of the City necessary to the closing of said
transaction and to the obtaining of said property in fee simple title by
the City of Plymouth.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by Councilman Spaeth, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Acting Mayor Hunt, Councilmen Neils and Spaeth.
The following voted against or abstained: None.
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
