Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION #77- 95
AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF rHE CITY OF PLYMOUTH AMENDED GRANT APPLICATION TO HENNEPIN
COUNTY FOR INCLUSION IN THE URBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
APPLICATION, IN ACCORD WITH THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has executed a joint powers agreement with Hennepin
County thereby agreeing to participate in a Grant Application under the Urban County
designation provided for in the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974;
AND, WHEREAS, a grant application has been prepared requesting funds to undertake
a community development program, including appropriate citizen participation, goal
establishment and implementation plans and procedures;
AND, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held two public hearings on December 1 and
December 15, 1976 regarding the expenditure of the Year III funds for the Ci'�y of
Plymouth and has recommended several projects for expenditure of said funds;
AND, WHEREAS, the dollar amount for the City of Plymouth has been adjusted upwards
from $75,000 to $110,000 by Hennepin County for Year III;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does direct the administrative staff to prepare
the necessary application for the City of Plymouth's Year III participation in the
Housing and Community Development Plans and Programs for expenditure on the following
projects in the respective adjusted dollar amounts:

Reforestation of Public Lands Related to Dutch Elm Disease $ 10,000
Acquisition of Park Lands 80,000
Housing Rehabilitation 20,000
TOTAL 11U,000
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by _Councilman Seibold and upon vote being taken thereon, the
