Councilman Seibold introduced the following Resolution and moved
its tion:
RESOLUTION #77-80
APPROVING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDS TO FACILITATE CONSTRUCTION OF
3 OR 4 BEDROOM FAMILY SUBSIDIZED UNITS ON A SCATTERED BASIS
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth desires to assist lower income large families in obtain-
ing suitable dwelling accommodations within the City of Plymouth;
AND, WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has a special allocation
from the Secretarial Discretionary funds in its Community Development Block Grant
program for the purpose of assisting communities that encourage the construction of
3 and 4 bedroom family subsidized housing units on a scattered site basis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does approve the filing of an application for
$28,000 in funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development through the
10 Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities, Minnesota.
FURTHER, the City Council of the City of Plymouth agrees to comply with all under-
standings and assurances as set forth in HUD Circular 7015.12 as attached save the
exclusion of citizen participation and public hearings.
