HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1976-745CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the the 20th day of December , 191x. The following members were present: Acting Mayor Hunt, Councilmen Neils. Seihold and Spaeth The following members were absent: Mayor Hilde Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76-745 ADOPTING A 12 -VOTING PRECINCT PLAN WHEREAS, During the 1976 legislative session the Legislature enacted legislation to prohibit the changing of voting precinct boundaries after January 1, 1977 through December 31,-1981,'and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth experienced and continues to experience rapid growth which requires the establishment of new voting precincts, and WHEREAS, the City Council 'has reviewed various alternatives regarding the . establishment of new voting precincts; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that this Council hereby adopts a 12 -voting precinct plan for the City of Plymouth, a copy of which is hereby attached as Exhibit A. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Ar_ting Maynr Hent, Louncilrrwn Noils, Seibold and Spa,-th The following voted against or abstained: "None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
