HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1976-734•, CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of . the City Council of ,the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the the 20th day of December , 117 76 The following members were present: -The folio -ging members were a sent:_Iavnr Hilda w** Councilman Seibold introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76- 734 DOWNTOWN PLYMOUTH PONDING REQUIREMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council had previously adopted Resolution No. W445 and 76=658 relative to the preparation of preliminary engineering reports for the Downtown Plymouth Area generally bounded by Fernbrook Lane, Vicksburg Lane, County Road 9 and T.H. 55; and WHEREAS, as part of these reports the development of certain storm water drainage. ponds were discussed in a general way, and WHEREAS, the City Council has now adopted a concept plan for Centrai Park which'is to be located in the,previously described genera7� area and 'said park incorporates certain ponding areas, and WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary by the City Council that further study be given to pond BC -P-8 as shown on the City's Storm Drainage Plan, dated March, 1973, and WHEREAS, it is proposed to assess the benefitting property for nil or a portion of'the I cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended), NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: that the proposed improvements. be referred to Bonestroo.. Rosene, Anderlik and Associates,Inc for study of the following: 1. More detail review of storage capacities and availability of pond BCP -8 as it relates to the Central Park Concept Plan. 2. Estimate development costs of pond BCP -8 which shou"iJ include excavation and grading. 3. Estimate cost of outlet control structure for pond BCP -8. and that he is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to' whether it should best be made as proposed or in conjunction with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded .bycouncilman Spaeth , and upon vote being taken thereon, the fol oiling voted in favor thereof:_ Actina Mavnr Hunt_ Councilman Hail,,_ The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
