R ESOLUTION N O. 2020-205
R ESOLUTION A UTHORIZING A MENDMENT TO C ONSTRUCTION A DMINISTRATION S ERVICES
C ONTRACT FOR THE CSAH 9 / I-494 I NTERCHANGE P ROJECT (ST190003)
WHEREAS, the CSAH 9 / I-494 is listed in the 2019-2023 Capital Improvement
Program; and
WHEREAS, bids were received for the project and the City Council awarded the
project; and
WHEREAS, WSB & Associates, Inc. was designated as the consulting engineer for
the preliminary engineering and for final design for this project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth, Hennepin County, and MnDOT desired WSB &
Associates, Inc. to perform construction administration services as a continuation of
professional services; and
WHEREAS, on May 14, 2019 the City Council designated WSB & Associates, Inc.
as the consulting engineer for construction administration and authorized the Mayor and City
Manager to sign the Agreement for Engineering Services for construction administration; and
WHEREAS, as a result of the construction method of the contractor and weather
the construction of the CSAH 9 / I-494 Interchange Project required additional construction
oversight, survey, and value engineering design services; and
WHEREAS, an amendment in the amount of $125,706.00 was submitted by WSB
& Associates, Inc., was reviewed by City Staff, and is recommended for Council approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the Agreement for Engineering Services Amendment 1 for the
CSAH 9 / I-494 Interchange Project is approved and the Mayor and City Manager are authorized
to sign the Agreement for Engineering Services.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 28th day of July, 2020.
