The following members were present: I;s-ihnlcl and Spaeth he o rnuncilmn 'n' owing Members were a st:enNone �r ,Mr* tit �guneilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved is adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76- 685 ACCEPTING BIDS PROJECT NO. 116 PINETREE POND STORM SEWER WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of certain storm sewer facilities in the major storm drainage district known as Hadley Lake as per the City of Plymouth's Storm Drainage Plan, dated March, 1973, in order to provide a storm water outlet for the following bodies of water as shown in said Storm Drainage Plan: HLP -2 Olive -Merrimac Pond north of County Road 6 HLP -1 Pinetree Pond south of County Road 6 HLP -4 South of 8th Avenue HLP -5 Hadley Lake HLP -8 Hadley Marsh " bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: BIDDER BASE BID Beatson & Kelly Contractors $109,318.70 Northdale Construction Company $113,534.90 C.S. McCrossan, Inc. $119,495.50 Nodland Associates, Inc. $119,723.00 G.L. Contracting, Inc. $120,350.25 Dawson Construction Company $123,875.00 Richard Knutson, Inc. $124,201.00 Erwin Montgomery Construction $131,230.00 Parrott Construction Company $133,146.65 Peter Lametti Construction $134,346.50 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Beatson & Kelly Contractors, of St -'Paul, Minneosta is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Beatson and Kelly Contractors of St. Paul, Minnesota for the improvement of certain storm sewer facilities in the major storm drainage district known as Hadley Lake as per the City of Plymouth's Storm Drainage Plan, dated March, 1973 in order to provide a storm water outlet for the following bodies of water as shown in said Storm Drainage Plan: Resolution No. 76-685 • • Page 2 HLP -2 Olive -Merrimac Pond north of County Road 6 HLP -1 Pinetree Pond south of County Road 6 HLP -4 South of 8th Avenue HLP -5 Hadley Lake HLP -8 Hadley Marsh according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Seibold , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor t ere- Councilmen Hunt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth. The following voted against or abstained: Mayor Hilde not present for vote. Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
