HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1976-6040 CITY OF PLYMOUTH • Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, t4innesota utas held on the the 18th day of October , 1976 . The following members were present: Acting Mayor Hunt, Councilmen Seibold and Spaeth The following members were absent: Mayor Hilde and Councilman Neils Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION #76-604 DENYING REQUEST FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO OPERATE SELF-SERVICE GASOLINE PUMPING STATION AT TOM THUMB MARKET AT SE CORNER OF HIGHWAY 55 AND HIGHWAY 101 (A-173) WHEREAS, the Tom Thumb Market located at the southeast corner of Highway 101 and Highway 55 has requested a conditional use permit to operate a self-service gasoline pumping station on the site; AND, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request and recommends its denial; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does deny the request of Tom Thumb Market, located at the southeast corner of Highway 101 and Highway 55 for a conditional use permit to operate a self-service gasoline pumping station on the site based on the following findings: 1. The traffic circulation and parking within the existing superette/liquor store lot will be adversely affected by the proposal. 2. The proposed use is inconsistent with Neighborhood Shopping Land Use Plan guiding for the site. 3. Expansion in the use of the site, as proposed, is inconsistent with Resolution #73-37 regarding development in areas not serviced by public utilities. . The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Seibold , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:. -Acting Maynr H n Councilmen te;hnld and Spaeth The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
