The following members were present: Ma or Hilde Councilmen_ Hunt Neils, Seibold and Spaeth The following meters were agent:__one Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved is adoption-. RESOLUTION NO. 76-567 ADOPTING ASSESSMENT 1976 WEED ERADICATION AND DESTRUCTION WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by-law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the destruction and eradication of noxious weeds on certain lands within the City of Plymouth, as provided by law, and has amended such proposed assessment as it deems just, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,.MINNESOT 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached• hereto and made a part hereof is hereby accepted and shall constitute thF special assessment against the lands named therein, and each tract of land therein, included is hereby found to be benefitt by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of one year, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January, 1976 and shall bear interest at the rate of 8% per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1976. To each subsequent installment when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the COui;.y Finance Director, pay the whole of the assessment on such property, with interest accrued to the date of payment to the County Finance Director except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this resolution; and he may at any time thereafter, pay to the County Finance Director the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes. 5. The total cost of the improvement assessed by this resolution is $ 11,239.96. RESOLUTION NO. 76-557 ADOPTING ASSESSMENT PROJECT NO. 505 SCHMIDT LAKE AREA (UNPLATTED) WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the improvement of 1) a portion of the North Central Sanitary Sewer Interceptor between the following points: 15A to 15, 15 to 16, 16 to 16C, 16C to 16A, 16A to 16B, (from a point on 36)th Avenue North approximately 600 feet west of Zachary Lane; thence in a northwesterly direction to the approximate intersection of Larch Lane and County Road 9; thence northerly along Larch Lane to 45th Avenue) as shown on the Report on the Comprehensive Sewer Pian for Plymouth, Minnesota dated 1972 and subsequent Report Supplement on the Comprehensive Sewer Plan for Plymouth, Minnesota 1973, Alternate B. Water main on Larch Lane from County Road 9 to 45th Avenue. Sanitary sewer lateral, water main lateral, 7 ton bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter on 45th Avenue from Larch Lane easterly and northerly to the terminus in the cul-de-sac in the plat of Shorewood Acres Addition, necessary storm drainage facilities and all necessary appurtenances, together with sewer and water trunk facilities, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: I. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, f is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein, and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of 10 years, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January 1977, and shall bear interest at the rate.of 8% per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution.
