The following members were present: layor Hilde, Councilmen Neils, Seibold and Spaeth e following members were a sent: Councilman Hunt �f Councilman Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved s adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76- 517 AWARDING BIDS PROJECT NO. 612 LARCH LANE STREET IMPROVEMENT WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of Larch Lane from 45th Avenue to the Sao Line Railroad Tracks by the construction of 7 ton design interim section with grading and gravel basp. storm sewer and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received opened and tabulated recording to law and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: BIDDER Veit & Company., Inc. C.S. McCrossan, Inc. Nodland Associates, Inc. Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. Shafer Contracting Company, Inc. Jer Bet J & T Contracting, Inc. Progressive Contractors, Inc. West Suburban Utility Contractors TOTAL BID $156,383.00 $158,606.00 $166,963.00 $168,205.00 $169,512.00 $174,414.55 $179,696.40 $193,412.50 $196,869.30 WHEREAS, it appears that Veit & Company, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: I. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Veit and Company, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota for the improvement of Larch Lane from 45th Avenue to the Soo Lint Railroad Tracks by the construction of 7 ton design interim section with grading and gravel base and all necessary appurtenances according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the -City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract.has been signed. Resolution No. • Page 2 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor t ereof: Mavor Hilde. Councilmen Neils. Seibold and Spaeth. The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
